Kemper is my personal favourite but there are some other units that others prefer like AxeFX, or NeuralDSPs own Quad Cortex, all with their own vast array of endorsing artists.įor pure software VSTs I’d say that Neural’s putting out the best currently. Some are better than others - Kemper has been a staple for decades both in recording and live performances, just check their artist page - Paul Gilbert, Blink-182, Amon Amarth and Trivium, not to mention all the artists who’ve used it at various times who aren’t official endorsing artists - there’s videos of John Mayer or Guthrie Govan on a Kemper. For sure they are - many musicians record exclusively using these.
